CHICAGO JOBS COUNCIL

As the 2022 recipient of the Design B&B Good Egg Grant, the Chicago Jobs Council approached the team with a strong legacy and a vision for change. Our mission was to craft a new brand identity that not only reflected CJC’s purpose but also amplified awareness of the systemic inequities and racial biases within the workforce.

Design B&B translated this vision into a dynamic and approachable brand system. A bold tone of voice shines a light on critical issues, while a vibrant color palette and distinctive shape language informed by the world of UI/UX encourages intuitive engagement and motivates audiences to take action. The logo symbolizes the interconnected nature of the workforce system, using positive and negative space to represent the transformative impact of CJC’s work. This refreshed identity respects CJC’s history and reputation while refocusing their work through an explicitly anti-racist framework.
